ICE PILOTS ARE TITLE SPONSOR OF INDEPENDENCE FOR THE BLIND EYE BALL
Pensacola, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce that they will be the title sponsor for the Independence of the Blind of West Florida’s Eye Ball that will take place on Friday, January 20, 2006 at the Hilton Garden Inn on Pensacola Beach.
The Pensacola Ice Pilots community foundation will donate $7,500 for the title sponsorship plus donate two tickets per guest for an Ice Pilots game on January 21 vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots also will donate an autographed team jersey for a silent auction and announcements will be made at Ice Pilots home games about the Eye Ball.
The event will be chaired by WEAR TV 3’s Sue Straughn and will include fine dining, dancing and live and silent auctions which will benefit Independence for the Blind. Independence for the Blind of West Florida (IB West) is a private nonprofit agency dedicated to helping the blind and visually impaired achieve maximum independence. IB West provides instruction in daily living skills, computer operation, and vocational rehabilitation that are offered free of charge to the blind of all ages. Proceeds from the event will benefit these programs.
