On Saturday, March 1 supporters from all over the community joined Independence for the Blind and Center Stage Ballroom in raising funds for the blind and visually impaired at the 2008 Eye Ball.  Dancing with our Stars, was the theme once again, and a crowd of nearly 200 people attended to watch the entertainment and help IB West raise over $25,000.  Brent Lane of the Cat Pak Morning Show on Cat Country 98.7 welcomed everyone to the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front, along with help from a few main sponsors including Innisfree Hotel Corporation, Sandy Sansing Automotive and Center Stage Ballroom.  The evening included an exquisite dinner prepared by the Hilton Pensacola Beach staff, entertainment by Marty Stanovich, and live and silent auctions.   But the most exciting part of the evening was when Dancing with our Stars began.  Patricia Windham, Rodney Scott, Mollye Barrows, Mark Whibbs, Ashley Hodge, and Sandy Sansing along with the Center Stage Ballroom dancers stole the spotlight with their versions of dances such as the Waltz, Cha Cha, Tango, Rumba, Salsa and Swing.  Dancing by all went well into the night and the Eye Ball 2008 ended a great success once again.
