Supporters from all over the community joined Independence for the Blind and Center Stage Dance Studio in raising funds for the blind and visually impaired at the 2007 Eye Ball. This year's theme, Dancing with our Stars, drew in a crowd of over 200 people and helped IB West raise over $30,000. Christian Garman welcomed everyone to the event and as the night progressed, the entertainment stole the show! The evening included an exquisite dinner prepared by the Hilton Garden Inn staff, entertainment by Marty Stanovich, and live and silent auctions. But the most exciting part of the evening was when Dancing with our Stars began. Kate DeBlander, Quint Studer, Commissioner Marie Young, Greg Schuh, Evon Emerson, and Julian MacQueen along with the Center Stage Ballroom dancers stole the spotlight with their versions of such dances as the Salsa, Waltz, FoxTrot, Swing, Rumba, and Tango. Dancing by all went well into the night and the Eye Ball 2007 ended a great success. Stay tuned for information on the Eye Ball 2008....you might be dancing next!
