Hello everyone! I'm Lindsay Pieler and I am the Public Relations Specialist here at Independence for the Blind of West Florida.  I joined the team on April 17, 2006.  I am in charge of all Fundraising, Marketing, and Public Relations involving IB West, so if you need anything in those fields, or would like to help out, I'm your contact!

I was born here in Pensacola on Halloween and have lived here my whole life.  I attended Washington High School, and then moved on to the University of West Florida, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations in December of 2005.  My position here at IB West is my first "professional" job since graduating and I am loving every minute of it.  Previously, I worked at the Discovery Channel Store (6 years!) leaving  with the title of Assistant Manager.

I love Pensacola, and at this time could not imagine leaving the beautiful beaches! I do love to travel though. I'm actually planning a trip to Greece for the first of the year, and I'm always up for road trips on the weekends or Holidays.  Some might ask why I choose to stay in a place that fears devastating hurricanes for months, but for me, it's just a way of life!
